Green

Each day, as we are look out our studio window at the majestic Mount Timpanogas and surrounding Wasatch range, we realize how lucky we are to live and work in such an idyllic place. We want our future children and grandchildren to be able to experience the same blue skies, clean air, and beautiful mountains that we do.  It is for this reason and many others that we are dedicated to running an eco-friendly studio and business. Here are some steps we have taken so far to lessen our impact on the Earth.

We print and assemble all of our products ourselves in our Heber City, Utah studio on a vintage letterpress that doesn’t have a motor or use any electricity.

We print on either 100% recycled, 30% PCW cardstock or 100% cotton paper (which is renewable, tree-free, and uses remnants from the garment industry), and most of our envelopes contain at least 30% post consumer waste (PCW) content.

We use non-toxic soy based inks, and the solvents we use
to clean our press have a low-Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) content.

We do our best to work with suppliers who are eco-conscious such as a company who plants a tree for every $100 spent, a family run paper mill that uses clean hydro-electric power, and an envelope supplier who uses all recycled or recyclable packaging.

We donate to good causes, re-use clean shipping materials, print on both sides of office paper, use compact fluorescent bulbs, and recycle.

We are committed to doing more.

This is especially important since we are a part of the printing industry, which we admit, is traditionally unfriendly to the environment. In the year to come, we will share further steps we’ve taken to become more and more sustainable.
