The Folk Line
Eva's artist statement:

"I've always been attracted to the warmth, attention to detail, and simple beauty of folk art. From painted signs, to embroidered handkerchiefs, to sailor's scrimshaw -- these handmade objects tell stories of humor, courage, and love. They are my inspiration when I sit down with a pen and start to draw."

The Pop Line
Stephanie's artist statement:

"The Pop line originated when Eva agreed to help me print a couple of items I designed for my home, and we decided that since we were already going to the trouble of setting up the press, we should try to sell a few of them. I still feel a little surprised every time someone pays to own something that I helped create. Instead of worrying about what other people might like, I just try to design items I want in my home because they make me smile every time I see them. Hopefully they add a little happiness to your life, too."

The Lark Line
Kristin and Amy's artist statement:

"Can letterpress be pretty and funny? We'll answer that with another question:
Definitely? Lark is all about bringing together the surreal, silly, and sweet in life -- and having fun while we do it. The process looks a little different with each piece, but whether it brings together vintage imagery or modern type, it has the same message: life is always better when you laugh."

When we look out the window to see another beautiful day tucked away in the mountains, we feel pretty lucky to call Heber City, Utah, home--for our studio, our business and our family.

This is our vintage Vandercook #3 letterpress. Kirk cranks each of our prints and cards through this 1000 lb. beauty one at a time after the painstaking process of balancing the ink and registering the image. The result is a textured one-of-a-kind piece that can't be created any other way.

We love paper. And we love paper that's good for the earth even more. That's why our cards are printed on 100% recycled cardstock (30% PCW).

Because of our commitment to green and sustainable materials, all of our inks are soy and vegetable-based.

It's a classic story:
Boy meets girl, girl meets letterpress, both fall in love and they bring a few friends along for the ride. Sycamore Street Press has been a love story from the very beginning--and still is. We love creating products that people bring into their lives and homes. We love the craft of letterpress. We love working with materials and techniques that are sustainable and good for us. We hope you'll fall in love with Sycamore Street too.
